There's nothing worse than when you come up with a brilliant idea while you're busy with other things and then promptly forget it. Whether it's the perfect ending for your novel or a comeback you should've said during that argument with your roommate last week, it's always annoying.
The Watch Out! mini synthesizer is here to help... if you compose electronic music, that is. It's a solar powered, two-button synthesizer that you can wear on your wrist to make sure you can record that beat that's been stuck in your head all day, no matter where you are.
The synthesizer consists of an ATtiny13, a piezo speaker, a tiny solar panel, two buttons, and a mini jack all inside a 3D-printed case.
The solar panel actually determines the sound. "Dependent on the light intensity, a solar panel reads this program and gives the power for the sound production. The more light shines on the cell, the higher and louder the pitch."
The team behind it says they want to eventually develop an iPod GUI that would let you tweak the sound, and they also plan on adding a mechanical part to change the pitch.

At the risk of being seen as trolling ...please don't call this a synth - it is a noisemaker LOL. And pretty well 99% ineffective for capturing that "brilliant idea while you're busy with other things" ;P
